RPP3: Daily Dev Blog Post 11

Welcome to day 11!

In a previous post, we talked a little about animations and how the animator must break down movements into drawings and then put them together in a movie file. You can see a real world example of this in reactionary GIFs, where people take screenshots of people performing an action and string them together to create the illusion of movement.

In the same way that animators string together drawings to make animations, game devs string together animations to make a believable character. While our chef is static, his hands move around the screen in various patterns. He slams his fists onto the counter, he swipes a knife down onto the character, and performs other actions that make us believe he's a living character.

See you tomorrow for another Daily Dev update!

Today's bonus content is my dog! Look at that cute face!
